I absolutely love Summer. And I have never given thought to the fact that

every year we are given “90 sweet days to spend in the sunshiny embrace of summer.”

I remember making lists of day trips when my children were young…

Merry-go-round at Nantasket Beach

Visit the Jam Kitchen in Sandwich and hike the nature trail

then see the lizards in the Nature Center

Roast S'mores at the beach

Spread a blanket in the backyard and gaze at the stars

String up a cotton hammock between two trees

and climb in with a book

Hike along the beach to The Knob in Falmouth

and Great Island, Wellfleet

Take a walk at Bay Farm across the wooden plank walkways

and through the woods

and of course …

ice cream cones at Farfar's and Dairy Twist

and Scoops
