Light, a nurturing presence...

Remembering Our Presidents
I am inspired by Maria Shriver’s email this morning about labyrinths.
The journey of life. The circuitous path we follow from dark into light and
light to dark, each day inviting a new challenge, new delight, new hope.
Last weekend I journeyed through a wonderful retreat entitled “Seeking Purpose”
in Meredith, NH, based on the novel of the same name by co-retreat leader Megan Driscoll of Duxbury.
The bright sunlight shone into our gathering room while we sat propped on couches,
comfy chairs and a huge window seat with lots of cushiony pillows. Beyond the huge
bay window, ice fishers fished, dotting the icy landscape with bright colored groups
engaging in the artfulness of the sport.
We experienced community, conversation, meditation and contemplation.
Moments that will stay with me and continue to inspire further thought.
Find a labyrinth. Walk slowly and contemplatively towards
its center, pause, and walk out.
Peace.
