Remembering is such a special gift

Where flowers bloom,
so does hope.”
— Lady Bird Johnson

Remembering and being remembered

is such a treasured gift.

When my kids were growing up we had a ‘card basket’.

Whenever the kids needed a card for teachers, grandparents, thank you’s, we pulled out the basket...in it were scissors, glue, colored and white card stock, markers and lots of images and words ripped from magazine pages like my favorites “Victoria” and “Country Home”.

During this quarantine I’ve had time to sort through old memory boxes...what a gift it has been to find cards our children crafted for us — and their sweet words — and Ryan’s especially — so profound and cherished.

Keep sending cards and notes alive — handmade or from artisans like me. Just a simple card is such a huge gift. I’m grateful to my little Andi’s People for making this lifelong journey with me and making me smile when I needed it — particularly these past two years without my dearly missed Ryan.

I’m grateful to my husband Jim for always being there and for my adored Ben and Emma — who made quarantining so much more bearable.

And I’m grateful to each and everyone of you in our yoga and Andi's People community for your notes, emails and commitment to showing up and taking time for you.
